This year, the Hispanic Federation will present their annual family health expo ¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® This event promotes Hispanic family physical activity and healthy lifestyles for people of all ages and sizes. The event will take place during Carnaval del Boulevard in Washington Heights, on St. Nicholas avenue, between 185th and 186th streets, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Made possible by an extraordinary group of partners and volunteers, the New York event will feature free health information and screenings, including blood pressure, Hepatitis C, and HIV; Zumba; martial arts demonstrations; a dance-a-thon, and a variety of sports clinics. The Hispanic Federation is a service-oriented membership organization of 94 Latino health and human service agencies dedicated to promote the social, political and economic well-being of the Latino community. The Federation provides a wide-range of services geared towards strengthening Hispanic families and supporting Latino institutions serving over two million Hispanics living in the Northeast region and Orlando, Florida.
